Anderson Signs with Minnesota Timberwolves

Two-Year, $18 Million Deal

US-born basketball player Kyle Anderson has agreed to play for China at next month's FIBA World Cup after obtaining Chinese citizenship. The announcement was made by the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday.

Anderson, who was born in New York City, has played for several NBA teams throughout his career, including the San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, and Miami Heat. He most recently played for the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2022-23 season.

In addition to his international commitments, Anderson has also agreed to a two-year, $18 million deal to join the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to his agents, Thad Foucher and Rich Paul of Klutch Sports.

Anderson's decision to play for China has sparked mixed reactions from the basketball community. Some have criticized the move, while others have expressed support for Anderson's choice.

The FIBA World Cup will be held from August 25 to September 10 in China. Team USA is the reigning champion.
